Café Church is changing – New Venue from May 2010
Edit: Please note this is a change of venue for Cafe Church formerly held in Thorntons, Ryde. There is also a regular Cafe Church at Castlehold Baptist Church in Newport which is not directly connected and continues to meet there on the first Sunday of every month.
For a number of reasons the Café Church team have decided to make some changes to how, and where, Café Church runs. Aprils Café Church was the last one in Thorntons Ryde. We would like to express huge thanks to Thorntons and the staff team for being such delightful hosts. They have been really flexible in accommodating us and helping make each night a success.
In May and June Café Church will be held at Church on the Roundabout in Newport. If you’ve never been there, have no fear, it’s not too churchy! The format and feel will be much the same as previous months, and their will be an added bonus of free coffee and tea (and only quality teas and coffee too), as well as the option to buy home made cakes or ice cream sundaes.
After June we will take a break for the summer as last year. Dates and venue after the summer will be announced nearer the time – please watch the website for updates.
We hope the change of venue will open up the event to even more people, and that our regulars will still be able to make it.
The topic for May is “To busy to…” and will feature one of the excellent Nooma videos, plus the usual quiz (with chocolate prizes) and discussion. The date is Wed 19th May and it will start at 7.30pm.
