Cafe Church Intro

Hello and welcome to the website for Cafe Church on the Isle of Wight, cafechurch.info – Cafe Church currently meets in the building of Church on the Roundabout in Newport.

Cafe Church is a relaxed, informal, friendly evening with a chance to meet people to discuss Christianity’s relationship with everyday issues, find out more about what the  bible has to say about everyday life and drink good coffee (or tea of course)!    Anyone is welcome, just come along, grab a free tea or coffee and if you want buy some yummy home-made cake or an ice-cream sundae, relax and join in as much or as little as you want.

Cafe Church started as part of the Cafe Church network at the beginning of 2009 in Costa Coffee, Ryde.  From September 2009 it left the Cafe Church Network and Costa (though is grateful to the support of both) and moved to Thorntons in Ryde.  We had a great time at Thorntons, and are really grateful for the support the branch manager and staff team gave us.  In Spring 2010 for various reasons we made the decision to change venue again, this time moving to Church on the Roundabout in Newport from May 2010.  Cafe Church  meets once a month on a Wednesday evening (3rd Wednesday of each month, drinks served from 7.15.  We take a break over the summer each year, details are posted on the website.

Cafe Church is supported by Ryde Elim, Church, Church on the Roundabout, Newport, and Shanklin United Reformed Church.
